Experimental Physiology publishes articles in all areas of physiology with particular emphasis on whole animal and systems physiology. Papers on those facets of cellular and molecular biology and gene function especially relevant to the understanding of integrative mechanisms are also encouraged. The journal also publishes invited reviews dealing with rapidly developing areas of physiology or which update understanding of classical fields of physiology. Experimental Physiology publishes research papers, review articles, hot topic reviews and symposium papers.
