Analysis of global changes in social welfare policies and social work practicies.

The IJSW seeks to encourage debate about the global implications of the most pressing social welfare issues of the day. Its interdisciplinary approach promotes examination of these issues from the various branches of the applied social sciences and integrates analyses of policy and practice.

The Journal presents and carefully analyzes the reshaping of social welfare policies and social work practices in countries that are struggling with the emerging global challenges to social welfare -- demographic trends, migration patterns and the globalization of the economy -- in the post-modern world .
